An Ode to OS X...

I finally recieved my trusty Powerbook G4 from the repair people at Apple Computing a few days ago. They didn't accidently upgrade my hard drive like Braden had said they might. I really didn't care--I finally had my "baby" back home with me.

Since they sent the computer back with abosolutely nothing on the hard drive, I thought it would be the perfect time to upgrade to the newest Operating System, OS X 10.2, codename:Jaguar.

I was skeptical, really. How could this Operating System really be all that faster than 10.1...and "Jaguar"? Isn't that a little pretentious?

After a few days of using it, I have to give a wholehearted "YES" to the first question and a resounding "NO" to the second. It's amazing! Windows pop up at lightning speed...I haven't felt like I've had to wait for anything. Even the web browser is faster.

And since it's from Apple, it's all just so damn cute.
