I'm just now falling in love with my apartment. It's finally decorated with various wall hangings: I have a large poster of skyscrapers with a horizontal poster and a window valance to match (Dad and I crafted them out of posters taken from the GAP in January 2000..."Urban Planning" was the theme of Winter 2000)...I also have poster frames with various rock-and-roll visages: Beth Orton in the bathroom, Gorillaz in the hallway, and Radiohead and Sleater-Kinney (signed!!!) in the living room. Combined with the various postcards I've collected over the years and one very nice "Meganhead" painting ala Andy Warhol...actually ala Megan Welch, but it's got that feel to it (although no screenprinting was done, just Meg's steady hand, a brush, and a mix of acrylics).

The bathroom is still ugly and the carpet industrial, but it's home. At least for the time being. I've decided not to go off to school just yet. I'd rather make a little money and do some incidental writing before I have to do not-so-incidental writing. A year or so without an audience is going to be heavenly. =)

I'd show you the place if I could. I'll get some pics uploaded sometime soon. =) However, if you're in Orlando, give me a call anytime for a tour!

Going to bed with a scratchy throat tonight. Ain't nobody's fault but my own...been singing way too much in my car. Aimee Mann, Beth Orton, Weezer, Beck...how's a boy to keep silent?
